The Fleece Fortress
Sometimes, you need to go off-grid to get your clarity back.
The Fleece Fortress is the working title of my newest book project—equal parts slow-burn saga, emotional healing arc, and Nordic chaos. It follows Sofie, a woman who's had enough of mixed signals, breadcrumb affection, and being everyone’s emotional support blanket (without the respect).
She boards a plane to Norway—not for romance, but for peace. She's not chasing a fairytale. She’s chasing clarity.
✨ A slow-burn emotional saga about love, silence, and finding yourself under foreign stars.
When Sofie boards a plane to Norway, she isn’t expecting closure. A year after sharing a deeply personal connection with a quiet, emotionally reserved Norwegian man, she returns—older, wiser, and carrying far more than a suitcase.
With a well-worn blanket dubbed the Fleece Fortress and a determination to stop waiting for mixed signals, Sofie sets off on a solo hiking journey across Norway. No tent. No backup. Just her, the stars, and the resolve to heal after years of being everyone’s emotional landing pad but never their priority.
As she walks ancient trails and sleeps beneath the open sky, Sofie begins to let go—not just of a man who couldn’t give her answers, but of the version of herself that kept begging for them.
Poignant, dryly funny, and emotionally raw, The Fleece Fortress is a story about choosing peace over longing, silence over noise, and finally learning that love should never leave you questioning your worth.
